The new two-level depot stations by P+ K Anlagen- u Maschinenbau GmbH (plant and mechanical engineering ltd.) have been custom-made to suit the requirements of EDUARD KRONENBERG GmbH and realised by means of the MB building kit system from the item Industrietechnik GmbH.

Managing partner, Ralf M. Kronenberg said,
“The new two-level depot stations allow us optimum utilisation of the installation space while at the same time maintaining highest levels of flexibility. The station not only stands on castors, but is also connected to the stamping machine via plug connectors, therefore allowing maintenance work to be carried out smoothly at all times”.

The depot stations, which are constructed completely out of series 6 and 8 of the item MB building kit system and the appropriate auxiliary equipment, such as, for example, conduits etc., work on both a simple and ingenious principle that can also be applied to more than two levels. The number of containers, into which the stamping and bent parts are ejected, and the number of items per container can be individually selected. The workpiece holders are designed for various box and packaging sizes. The depot station is operated as follows: a preliminary alarm is triggered when the last container goes to filling. The containers can be positioned centrically under the ejection point thanks to the negative milling in the workpiece holders.
The double-level depot station comprising 29 – 31 containers also comprises a pneumatic lift, which is used to transport the containers to the next level.
